Riandi Conradie works in a male
dominated field, namely IT, as a business analyst and she is also a finalist
for Mrs South Africa 2015. Being in a corporate environment, Riandi’s style is
influenced to power dressing incorporating colours like red and black, but when
attending Mrs South Africa functions she dresses more glamorously.
When I asked her to describe her
personal style in only 5 words she said the following:
Stylish.
Simplicity.
Elegant.
Classy.
Glamorous.
With Kate Middleton as her fashion icon,
I can now better understand where her fashion style is going. Although Riandi
works in a male dominated environment, she can still celebrate her femininity
with the clothes she wears. Her style is not influenced by brand names at all,
but as a Mrs South Africa finalist she has been introduced to Josep Ribkoff and
she is quite fond of their design style.

So for the inspiration for this outfit I
decided to have a look at Kate Middleton’s style, but to use more jewel tone
and grey colours. Riandi said that you should know your body type and dress
according to your body shape.

When I first started looking for items
for this specific look, I knew that the items should be timeless, effortless
and classy. This red front knotted dress is the perfect statement and key item
combined. This design will look stunning on Riandi and the colour will
complement her complexion. This is also very Kate Middleton inspired. When it
comes to shoes I love pairing up dresses with nude heels as this elongates the
leg and looks perfect for either day or night. I also decided to add the
charcoal grey trench coat. Riandi can wear this to her work or a function she
has afterwards. The statement gold and pastel necklace will give the necessary
bling to this look without being overwhelming. When it comes to handbags I gave
Riandi two different options. First is the grey felt shopper bag which will be
perfect for everyday living and the work life. If she has to go to a function
after work she can use the mini origami nude pink envelope clutch – for a more
glamorous look. Last I chose the gold and grey watch to finish this look. I
think that Riandi will look great in this outfit.

Riandi’s sponsors could be proud that
they are supporting such an inspirational woman. Her sponsors are as following:

I would like to wish Riandi good luck with her journey as a Mrs South Africa Finalist. I cannot wait to see what she still has planned.
